Renting a wedding tent in Lucerne from us means fabric tent, wooden floor, tables, chairs and lighting in one quote. From Steinhausen we reach the city in about half an hour. The tents are sewn in Switzerland and waterproof, the smallest holds 50 guests, the largest 300. Before we promise anything, we look at your site, on Lake Lucerne just as much as further inland.
For 50 guests the S tent at 6 by 10 metres is enough, from CHF 1,850. For 80 to 120 guests you take the M at 10 by 15 metres, from CHF 2,850. The L at 11 by 21 metres holds 150 to 200 guests, from CHF 3,850. For up to 300 guests there is the XL at 12 by 32 metres, from CHF 6,850. The wooden floor is CHF 12 per square metre, wooden folding chairs are CHF 9 each.
Around Lucerne our tents mostly stand on meadows looking out over Lake Lucerne. The access to them is often narrow. We check beforehand how close our lorry can get, and we carry the last stretch. If the meadow slopes, the wooden floor levels it out. For the L tent, allow 13 by 23 metres of clear space including the guy lines.
A wedding tent with a normal set up and take down usually needs no building permit in the canton of Lucerne. You also need no hospitality licence as long as the drinks are on you. Family celebrations are exempt. But if there is a box for voluntary contributions at the bar, that counts as selling, and then you need to apply to the Lucerne police.
In Lucerne we equipped the Luzerner Theater anniversary in 2022. It was not a wedding, but a party for 250 guests at long tables. The tent became a banquet hall, with a wooden floor across the whole area and chandeliers above the tables.
