Does the City of Zurich need a seating plan?

On public ground, yes. The plan with tables, benches and tents is a mandatory attachment to the application, which has to be complete four weeks ahead. As soon as the number of tables is fixed, you get the plan from us.

We are selling drinks at our club party. What do we need?

On public ground the City of Zurich asks in the application for a licence holder, meaning a named person and not the club. For temporary operations the municipality can issue a time limited licence. For a private party without sales this does not apply.

Do you deliver furniture without a tent?

Yes, that happens often. We deliver into the hall, the courtyard, the garden or a tent that is already standing.

How far is it from your depot to Zurich?

From Steinhausen it is about 31 kilometres to Zurich main station and about 37 to Küsnacht. Without traffic we are there in 28 and 37 minutes respectively.

Event furniture and what it costs

The beer table set at 220 by 60 cm, a table and two benches, costs CHF 25. The wooden folding chair with white cushion costs CHF 9, in teak or as a crossback CHF 10. The folding banquet table at 80 by 120 cm costs CHF 20, standing and bistro tables CHF 25 each. For the drinks reception there is the black bar counter, 1.50 m wide, for CHF 150 and anthracite lounge elements for CHF 125. On top of that, parasols with a steel base for CHF 150 and a cloakroom with 50 wooden hangers for CHF 95.

Delivering in Zurich, from courtyards to the lake

In the city we often deliver onto hard ground, into courtyards or between buildings. What counts there is the distance from the lorry to the spot. Tell us beforehand how far it is and we plan the crew accordingly. In the gardens on both shores of the lake the access is narrow, so we simply carry. We set everything out and collect it again after the party.

In the application it asks for the catering area in square metres and the number of guests present at the same time. So fix the number of tables and the area early, we supply the plan with the quote. Anyone selling drinks needs a responsible person holding a licence, for a private party without sales that does not apply. From 500 people present at once the city also wants a risk analysis, likewise four weeks ahead.

What we have built here

In 2023 we equipped a corporate event for 150 people on the campus square for ETH Zurich. Lounge furniture and bar counters stood between the buildings. The square was hard surfaced and anchoring was not possible, so we worked with ballast.
