Rent a pavilion in Lausanne

When you rent a pavilion in Lausanne from us, you get folding pavilions in five sizes, from 3 by 3 to 4 by 8 metres. They link together until the whole area is covered. On hard ground we set them up with ballast, in a courtyard just as on a terrace. We deliver, set up and collect everything again. We drive to Lake Geneva with several pavilions or together with a tent, for a single one the trip is not worth it.

Pavilions in five sizes

XS at 3 by 3 metres costs CHF 200, S at 4 by 4 metres CHF 250. M at 3 by 6 metres costs CHF 300, L at 4 by 6 metres CHF 450 and XL at 4 by 8 metres CHF 550. We line several pavilions up into one continuous roof. The journey to Lake Geneva is shown separately in the quote. For a single pavilion we will tell you straight that the drive from the canton of Zug is not worth it.

The bise on the lake

The bise is channelled towards western Switzerland and is often strongest on the western part of Lake Geneva. In February 2023 about 100 km/h was measured in the Lake Geneva area, and 105 km/h has been recorded in Lausanne. On the shore we therefore plan ballast or anchoring for the bise. If bise is forecast, we do not set up open. On a terrace, square or courtyard we work with ballast, as there is nothing to anchor into on hard ground.

A pavilion on public ground in Lausanne

In Lausanne you cannot simply put a pavilion on a square, pavement or in a park. Every installation on public ground needs a permit from the city first. The application must be in at least 30 days before the event. The permit is free or costs a flat CHF 60, and a fee for using public ground may come on top. The city asks for proof of liability insurance. Ideally the permit and proof are in place before we set off.

What we have built here

In Morges in 2022 we set up a tent with a glass front for a private event of 100 people in the park of a country estate above Lake Geneva. That was a tent, not a pavilion. But we know the route to the lake and how to plan the journey as a day's run.
